After reading your paper I didn't find anything that was missing. You made what you are arguing in your paper clear and I was able to follow where you were trying to take it. One of the main points in your paper is that people think that to lose weight all you have to do is take some diet pills but that's not true. You did a good job at addressing the counter arguments. You talk about how athletes try to intake a lot of protein to increase their muscle but in the end that really doesn't work. You also had some evidence to support your claim. I was interested to read more about your paper. I thought your topic was interesting and you have good content in it. Your argument's strength is your main point and your evidence backing up your main points. I'm not sure what your argument's weakness is, I thought your paper was good! - Belinda Corniea

  • is there anything missing from my paper?

Not that I noticed!

  • have I correctly addressed counter arguments for my topic?

Yes you have with the media input and the selling advertisements.

Does the argument answer the basic question: Why did this happen? What questions are you left with after reading the argument?
Your argument does answer the basic questions. I wish I knew more and I think its cool that your writing a paper on something that goes against what everyone is saying and is in to.
Does the writer establish that the problem exists and that we should care about it? What is missing?
You do establish that there is a problem especially with the media and the people that they portray. I think a stronger argument could be helpful or some fact that could tie the paper together.
What seem to be the main points of the argument?
That protein is actuallly not mean to be taken as much as others think and it can cause problems. People have the wrong idea.
Does the writer genuinely address opposition? What additional opposing viewpoints could the writer address? Can you imagine other objections to the argument?
I can see opposition in your paper and I can also imagine objections to your argument. Im not sure what other viewpoints you could address.
What were your reactions to the text as you were reading it?
I was surprised by the facts and the finding because I have heard protein is good and I feel like it is a big deal to a lot of people so hearing the other side of the argument was refreshing.
What is the argument's greatest weakness?
Hmmm maybe have a bigger conclusion to end strongly?
What is the argument's greatest strength?
Your sources and the facts you drew from them. Very compelling.
