Hello World
My name is Emilie.
I'm a resident of Bemidji, MN and am so grateful for the home in which I grew up on beautiful Lake Plantagenet.
I absolutely love spending time outdoors, as well as music, art and writing.
I was born and raised here in Bemidji.
After graduating from BHS in 2010, I ventured to Winona, MN for my freshman year of college.
College Life
Winona is a really unique and interesting geographic area of our beautiful state (not to mention, the warmest area)!
Awesome though it was, the place just wasn't for me.

Now What?
… this is the question I've been working toward answering for quite a few years now :)
After a semester at BSU, I took some time off and spent a year of national service with AmeriCorps.
The program, often called the "domestic Peace Corps", is a part of the Corporation for National and Community Service. Here's a link, I really encourage you all to check it out! -

When that truly awesome experience came to a close, I enrolled again at BSU, where I'm enrolled full time today.
I'm considering working toward a degree in Creative and Professional Writing, so this course could really come in handy! :)

My dream job is to be a photojournalist for National Geographic magazine, or something like it.
