If I'm reading a food label I'm usually bored out of my mind, or making a meal that requires a little bit of waiting. I read them because they help pass time, and are sometimes interesting. Even if I find that food I'm eating is extremely high in sugar or salt, It doesn't change affect my decision of consuming that food. I've never been concerned about the food I consume or how it will affect my body. I feel like a food labels should have every ingredient or fact about the product that could be harmful to any individual if they consumed it/kept consuming it.

I feel that anything the food comes in contact with, (processing method) should be included on the label. Everyone should have the right to know what "purifier" is being used for their food. As for who decides I'm not really sure who should make decision, because they are taking the responsibility of everyone's health. The article made me more aware of things companies can be hiding from us, and I stated in my last opinion, "they should put every ingredient or fact about the product that could be harmful to any individual if they consumed it/kept consuming it."

After reading all 3 articles, I still don't feel like my opinion has changed much. Knowing what is used for processing our food is a right that everyone should have even if it may not be harmful. Being healthy is being aware of everything that enters your body, and how it may affect you. Pink slime doesn't seem healthy and not letting people know that is a crime.

There are many methods that "could" solve the crisis I have chosen, but there is no method to reverse the obesity epidemic. Changing their lifestyle has to be their own decision. Nobody can force them to loose weight, but only give them opportunities to. Physical Education class should be required from a young age, all the way to they graduate high school. P.E should be held throughout the full school year, instead of half semesters. Also selling only healthy food at "Ala Cart" at school can also give the kids no choice to eat healthy. Fast food restaurants are hard to control. I feel that they should only be aloud to have a certain amount of establishments in one area.
