Logical Fallacies

Over generalization

  • Picture 1 is an an example of over generalization. The over generalization fallacy exaggerates the details. It creates a hasty conclusion and misrepresents the details
    • Picture 1 is wrong because it is exaggerating the details. If school is killing us because we use paper than every other place that uses paper would also be killing us

Ad Hominem

  • Picture 2 is an example of ad hominem. This fallacy attacks a persons character. It claims that if something is wrong with the persons character than everything they represent is wrong
    • Picture 2 is wrong because they are just blatantly claiming Mitt Romney is a problem. They are not giving any details about why he is.
