Notes Ch2 Writing With Sources


-goal for integrating sources is to shrink what someone else has wrote and apply it to your writing so the reader gets the gist of it.
-must be un your own words
-if its direct note who is saying it or use quotation marks
-paraphrasing is s good tool to use
-there are few reasons to directly quote a source, such ones are you can't explain it any better then the original, a certain phrase in the source is striking, to difficult to explain properly in own words.
-three principles, one: don't cloud your thinking with the source, two: never leave reader in doubt, three: make clear how source relates to paper's subject.
-mention how source is professional in nature
