Scholarly Statement Kramer

Animals, outdoor activities, crafts, and spending time with family and friends are my main interests. Learning new facts about animals intrigues me. Along with observing birds, squirrels, and anything else I find on nature walks, I like to scrapbook and do other do-it-yourself crafts. I most enjoy writing when it is something I am passionate about. Last semester in my composition class, I enjoyed writing most of the papers because each paper was something I was passionate about, something I wanted to learn more about, or something that is important to me. There are a lot of topics I would enjoy writing about. Usually, if a topic is introduced I will be happy about writing it and I will know exactly what I would like to write about that topic. I really do like writing, but I dislike writing research papers because it is hard to find sources that provide the best information. You just need to know what to look for.

Should animals be used to make skin and hair products safer for humans? How does our garbage effect the lives of animals? and what would cause someone to think it is okay to harm another person or animal for their enjoyment? I am currently a chemistry major and minoring biology. Some controversial topics in this area of study are cloning, chemical additives in our food, and stem cell research. Any of the above topics and questions are things I would love to know more about and be willing to do research on each of them. A few things I know a little bit about, but would want to know more would be anything about animals. I love learning how to create new and unique crafts. I would also like to know more about psychology and people's behaviors. I get that interest from watching the show Criminal Minds. I like how the mind effects a persons actions and body language.
