Solution Proposal Peer Review Huseby

Writers: Do you have any questions for your reviewers? If so, post them here:

What are some specific things you wanted to know more about (so I can focus more on those points)?

Beth- I would suggest reading through all of your writing because there are some sentences that are either too wordy or awkwardly worded.
Dylan - Nothing that I can think of.

Reviewers:

First: Please answer the writer's questions.^^

Then: Consider outside sources. Do they help support the writer's claims? Do the sources of support take over any portions of the writing and overwhelm the writer's voice?

Beth- The outside sources did help and support your argument.
Dylan - The sources and support were great.

Did the proposal anticipate and respond to all valid arguments (opposing viewpoints)? What additional counterarguments and/or concessions would be helpful?

Beth- You need to add opposing points of views, like maybe children should be pushed to have good grades and focus on schooling and that will lead them to be more comfortable? Also, you did not state a concrete solution - just some tips for teachers.
Dylan - I agree with Beth for the most part, but I think it is hard to oppose your argument because if you wanted children to be focused on good grades, a supportive teacher would be more beneficial to the students.

Is the organization of the writing easy to follow?

Beth- The flow is easy to follow.
Dylan - It was easy to follow along with.

What questions are raised in your mind after reading this proposal? Is anything missing?

What were the most memorable pieces of text?

Beth- The statistics on neglected children.
Dylan - Definitely the statistics.

What is the writing's greatest weakness?

Beth- I did not see you establish any thesis or opposing points of view in your writing.

What is the essay's greatest strength?

Beth- It is a very interesting problem, and you have a lot of information on it.
